“In the Box” Sessions  –  These ‘In the Box” sessions are extremely popular with children as Mum and Dad’s get involved too!  The children have so much fun and there are plenty of giggles all round.  A typical photoshoot lasts up to an hour and costs £149. The digital image created from the session is a cube of nine combined photographs.   Please ask Sarah for details of her framed images and/or wall art that are available as an optional extra.

Christmas Mini Sessions   –  Clients can choose from a selection of three Christmas backdrops (backdrops 1,2, or 3) which are chosen at the time of booking.   I also have digital Christmas backdrops; the children are photographed on a plain background and digital image is created.  Christmas Mini-Sessions are for 25 minutes and include three digital files plus a photo decoration for your Christmas tree.   Additional images can be purchased after the session and extra tree decorations are available too!

School Photography, I photograph individual and sibling photographs during the Autumn Term. The popular class photographs are taken during the Summer Term.  I capture  A Day in the Life”of the school and the children, spending all day photographing a typical school day!  The  photographs are used by the school for their website and artwork for the building.

Pre-School Children –  The children enjoy myself and the nursery staff being silly so we can take natural smiles. The equipment I use can be quite daunting to little people so I let them explore carefully until they are happy to work with me. I feel like Peter Pan at the pre-schools (not grown up in the slightest!) Having the ability to get down to the children’s level is key to getting the best from them. I maybe silly but I just want the children happy.

Colour Dash –  The colour dash and tough mudder events have taken place to raise money for the schools to fund equipment for the children. They are so colourful and the children love to get messy! The parents love it because the joy on the children’s faces are priceless. The school never have problems getting volunteers from parents throwing coloured chalk at the children! I have attended these events to capture the children for the parents who have either not been able to attend or who can’t get close photographs due to the course the children undertake. Parents have then been able to purchase the photographs from me to raise funds for the school. Also since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic parents have not been able to attend school events. I photographed many sports days in summer 2021 for the parents to be able to see snapshots of their children taking part and having fun.

What happens if it rains?

It’s certainly possible knowing our UK weather! I want you to love your images and we will make a joint decision as to whether shoots go ahead. Happy smiles are what I want, not disappointed faces because of the weather.

What should we wear?

Coordinating colours are ideal, not matching. I’d suggest picking a couple of colours and choose clothes that will fit in this colour scheme.

Since you will be hanging these photos in your house you want to make sure the colours of your clothes go with the colour scheme of your home. Walk around your home and think about where you will display these photos. If they are going in the living room look at the colours in there and think about a palette that will complement it.

Personally, I enjoy having an outfit in the mix that has all the colours in it. However, not everyone in the photo should wear patterns as it may distract the final image. Also try to avoid over accessorising, again this can be distracting. Consider picking one outfit for your family photos that has a lot of colours or fun pattern. Choose that outfit first. This gives you plenty of colours to choose from to pick your coordinating colours.

When shopping for clothes for my children, I look for colour coordinating collections such as in Next. You can then purchase clothes for all the children from one store and there are usually items for adults too that complete the look.

How many family members?

A family shoot is for immediate family (e.g. Mum, Dad, children and dogs) but you are more than welcome to also include Grandparents.

My prices are based on one family unit so if you are wanting to include extended family such as cousins an additional fee will be required to allow for the extra shoot time.

I am always happy to create a bespoke package for your and your family.

When will my images be ready?

It takes on average two to three weeks to send your images to view but if for any reason you might need them urgently please let me know at the time of booking.

Location Portraits!

Bluebell Mini Sessions –  usually take place anytime from 23rd April until 8th May approximately. Whether they flower early and how long they flower for are extremely weather dependant.

I am very conscious that bluebells are protected so limit the number of sessions I book as I don’t want the bluebell flowers to be trampled by too many people visiting the same area.  A crushed flower could lead to a damaged bulb meaning they won’t flower the following year. I always think of the quote “take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints”  when capturing these sessions.  It is important everyone can enjoy the flowers.

The Bluebell Mini-Sessions are 20 minutes and include three digital images and cost £75.
